About the project
MyFina is a calm tool for personal finance: tracking expenses and income, category budgets, and clear analytics. No ads, no noise.
MyFina started as a personal tool: I needed to see money at a glance — across several accounts, currencies and categories. Not 'guess-the-category-from-the-description', but explicit accounting where nothing happens without me knowing.
Over time the product grew: budgets, savings goals, bank integrations (Monobank, GoCardless PSD2 for the EU), brokers, family accounts, subscriptions, and debts. But the philosophy didn't change — the user sees every penny and understands where it came from.
This site is the public showcase: personal-finance articles and product release notes. The product itself lives on a separate subdomain — that's where login, dashboard and all the accounting happen.
Privacy isn't a feature, it's the foundation. MyFina doesn't show ads, doesn't sell data, and doesn't build profiles for trackers. Currency rates and bank integrations go through official APIs, and sensitive keys are stored encrypted.
Today MyFina is multi-currency accounting, budgets and savings goals, subscriptions and debts, shared family accounts with roles, statement imports, and analytics with CSV/XLSX/PDF export. The interface is translated into 13 languages, and a mobile REST API lays the groundwork for iOS and Android apps.
