This is a big release. If you are short on time, here is what matters: one purchase no longer turns into two records, bank statements arrive without gaps, MyFina is now on the App Store, and analytics has an annual report.
One purchase, one record
If you pay by phone with a card whose statement MyFina also receives from the bank, the purchase used to arrive twice: once as a Google Wallet notification and once as a statement line. Monthly spending came out inflated, and the extra record had to be hunted down and deleted by hand.
MyFina now matches those pairs itself.
- Obvious matches are merged automatically — by card, amount and time.
- Doubtful ones are yours to decide: "Merge into one" or "Keep separate". Pairs are listed compactly, and if several pile up, you can merge them all with a single button.
- You don't have to wait for the bank. Confirm a purchase straight from the notification and it is marked "Awaiting bank confirmation". When the statement arrives, the mark clears itself.
Sorting through incoming payments got easier too. Every bank and notification now sits on one Inbox page with "New", "Skipped" and "Confirmed" tabs, and drafts are grouped by card.
- A draft can be corrected before you confirm it — amount, date, description. A wrongly confirmed operation can be sent back to the queue: the record is removed and the balance restored.
- An ATM withdrawal is a transfer, not a purchase. Cash from the machine hasn't been spent yet, so it is no longer counted twice.
- Different currencies are no obstacle. Paid in euros from a koruna account — MyFina fills in the converted amount, and you can adjust it.
- A card can be linked to an account by its last four digits, after which payments from it are offered against the right account straight away.
Bank statements without gaps
After a failure on the bank's side, your history could quietly end up with holes — and spotting them was nearly impossible. MyFina now remembers how far each account's statement has been loaded and, next time, fetches exactly what's missing.
- Long statements load in full, in chunks, with nothing lost at the seams.
- A slow bank no longer ends in an error. The work continues in the background, the result appears on its own, and pressing the button again breaks nothing.
- If the bank refuses, you can see why. Instead of an error code you get a sentence in your language: the bank wants you to re-confirm access, the request limit is exhausted, or the statement is only released a few times a day — and when the next attempt will happen.
- The account row shows the bank's name, not the cardholder's.
An iPhone app and new ways to sign in
MyFina is now on the App Store. Links from our emails — password reset, family-sharing invitation — open directly in the app.
- Sign in with Apple — on the website and in the app, with no new password.
- Linked accounts. If you sign in with Google on your computer and with Apple on your iPhone, you see the same data instead of two separate empty profiles. Settings → Security.
- Two-factor protection. Sign-in with a code from an authenticator app, recovery codes in case you lose your phone, and a trusted device for 30 days.
- Changing your password ends sessions on every device, phones included. If the password may have leaked, nobody can use it afterwards.
- A new Android phone: after transferring your data you are already signed in to MyFina, with nothing to type.
- One subscription for every device. Buy it on the website, in Google Play or in the App Store — it works everywhere. Downgrading deletes nothing: records over the limit stay visible, read-only.
Save towards a goal without moving money
Goal pockets have arrived. You can save for a holiday without opening a separate account: the money stays on your card while part of the balance is marked "set aside for a goal". Changed your mind? The "Release" button returns the amount to your free balance. Works on the website and on your phone.
The whole year on one page
The Analytics → Cash flow report has a new "Annual report" tab: opening and closing balance for each month, income and expenses by category, investments, and a "Total capital" line — how much money and holdings you have altogether.
Next to it sits balance history. You can record any account's balance on a past date: if you created the account in April but the money had been there since January, the report no longer shows empty months. From then on balances are recorded automatically every night.
Small things that make a noticeable difference
- Statements from older banking systems no longer turn into unreadable characters.
- On import, income and expense are determined by the sign of the amount, and before saving you see the totals: how many rows become expenses, income and transfers.
- Changing the language in the first-run wizard also translates the starter categories.
- The cookie choice is now shared between the website and the app — the banner asks once.
- Push notifications finally reach your phone.
What's next
Automatic sync currently works with Monobank and is available on every plan. Connecting EU and UK banks via PSD2 is in development; Pro subscribers will get it automatically, at the same price. Statements from any other bank can be imported as a CSV or XLSX file today.
